Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Stopped in for lunch on our way back from a vacation weekend and glad we found this gem via Yelp! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is fantastic! Our family each got their own 'build to taste' pizza with a drink and the total was very reasonable! The pizza was very good and the variety of toppings is plentiful. My only complaint is that they don't have one where I live yet! One of the store employees mentioned that they are looking at putting up to 20 more in the Midwest in the next couple of years. Hopefully one will be in the Omaha metro area!

Pizza studio is the very definition of "fast food". I was seated right after my order was taken and within five minutes my pizza was in front of me. Nothing feels better than to have your food sit down with you. The staff is very friendly and exceptionally kind. Pizza studio is also vegan and vegetarian friendly so anyone can enjoy a hot pie! My friend had sat down and before they touched her pizza they asked if she wanted any utensils to be sanitized before being used on her pizza so no meat would come in contact with her food. Simply amazing customer service. Skimpy on the sauce though, might have to ask for extra

Very good pizza for a very reasonable price. It took less than 3 mins to have my pizza built and baked.

  • Ced L.

Extremely good pizza for the price! They have many selections of crust...It's like making a sub but a pizza for $7.99 what's not to like...they do give a military discount that's a plus!

was going to give a better review, until I went last night. first experience was good tasted fresh and it was busy. tells me you guys are doing something right. but last night went in and when me and my son got our pizzas his just didn't taste the same. his crust had a weird tast. we were driving through heading to texas. went to hotel and noticed the different tast in the pizza. went back to see if I can have it redone but your place was closed. Also might want to train personnel some customer service. seemed that everyone wanted to clean and not take payments stood there for about 10 min until one of them said OMG where is (don't remember the name said) she was bothered to take the payment from the three customers waiting. I think there was 6 people working last night. and only two working. the other 4 were pretending to clean and give out orders.and they might want to keep their conversation to themselves especially when their are little kid's. a lot of F-Bombs. good hangout place but if employees are on the clock they should be working. . Don't know why the quality of work goes down at night in fast food places .At the end the quality of food goes down.

This place is awful. Seriously everyone had their own agenda and didn't want to actually do their job. They have people the wrong pizzas and only called names once. There were three people in front of us that received incorrect pizzas and never did the employees apologize. I myself got a pizza that was given to another table.... Wouldn't ever recommend

This place is like personal pizza oven. You select the crust, sauce, cheese and ingredients you want for a flat $8 price. I had the flaxseed crust with fresh mozzarella, broccoli, artichoke, olives, tomato sauce and the basil finish. It was pretty good. I would return here if I wanted something quick and cheap.

Fast, easy, tasty, good price. I am glad I found this place, never had heard of it but I will be back! Staff was friendly and it's a neat concept.

I thought I was going to really like this chipotle version of pizza....walk down the line and order your ingredients and then get a pizza baked. Its a great concept and I got a really good pizza but the experience was bad, especially for a first timer. It could have EASILY been made better with a menu board. Instructions on the wall say to pick your crust, then your sauce, then your cheese and then your toppings. The problem is you have no idea what toppings exist, what cheeses they offer, or sauces they offer when you are forced to order a crust that has no description. Do I order the pesto sauce instead of the red? Do they have a spicy? I personally would not order a pesto sauce unless they had goat cheese. If I am going non-red, I want to make sure they have the toppings that compliment that well. Do they have pine nuts, spinach, artichokes or jalapenos? Yes? Then a pesto sauce would be great. Do they have ham or canadian bacon or sausage...breakfast or italian...spicy or mild...all need to be known to make a red or a spicy red sauce decision. To make it worse, when you order your crust, you cannot see down the line to see the toppings and even get a clue. A selection board would be great and give this place four or five stars instead of three. FYI - the people there were great...but not empowered enough to not charge me $2 for extra sauce.

I was a bit skeptical when I heard this place was like Subway for pizza. You have the option of building your own pizza (unlimited toppings) or ordering one of the pizza options that they have available. The setup is similar to Subway where they have the toppings on display to choose from. I didn't know how fresh they would be, so I chose to get something pretty safe for the first visit. I decided to get the Margarita pizza that came with tomatoes and basil. The cheese was REALLY good. The crust was thin and good as well. After placing my order, I got my pizza within 5-10 mins. The pie was great when it was hot, but still good cold. I'd recommend trying it out if you are in the area. I'm sure I'll be back to try another pizza with more toppings.

I got the new Moroccan pizza. It had a spiced crust with lots of great toppings: kalamata olives, artichokes hearts, garlic, feta, basil. & jerk seasoning with added red onion, added chicken with a pesto paste. It took a little longer to build everyone pizzas in the line. I don't mind b/c I get really hot pizza in few minutes. I would tweek my pizza a bit and add some mozzarella cheese & pick a different crust. It was a little pricy than their competitors. If you haven't ventured into one of the style pizza places & you like pizza the you are missing out.

The last few times that I've come here, it hasn't been the same. They've changed the toppings. They no longer have the fresh Parmesan and quite a few other items. The people don't seem to care as much. I miss the friendly "welcome to Pizza Studio" experience. I'll be using my last free pizza but unless it's a wonderful experience, I can't say that I'll be back.

I travel from Missouri to Kansas all the time, yet I have never experienced the customer service that I received from Joshua (?) the manager. His polite over the top demeanor to service the customer with the upmost satisfaction overwhelmed me. Thank you for all your consideration in assisting me; because of you I'll always come back & tell everyone I know to do the same. The pizza was awesome...

I don't like wasting my time reading reviews let alone writing them but this place sucks. I walked in because it smelled good and was a good departure from the normal chipotle. They didn't remember our order bringing half of it the boxing and leaving the other pizza behind the counter as I watched them. Go to chipotle and save yourself a headache.

  • Grant H.

More expensive and worse quality than other fast casual pizza joints. They use one of those quizno's style turbochef ovens which heats inconsistently. The outside crust was overcooked and the middle was soft and doughy. Toppings didn't seem the freshest either.

I seriously love going to Pizza Studio, wherever I am. Hands down best pizza ever! This one is equally amazing like the others. If you have not tried it yet, you are missing out

Went to Kansas from California for a family visit! Love visiting Legends Shopping and saw this Pizza place, so we stopped in. We walked in and were happily welcomed by all the employees. After looking over all of the menu choices, my 8 year old was able to order HIS pizza just the way he wanted. And even better, I was able to get the fun and exciting pizza that I wanted. Whole grain and flax seed crust...amazing!!!! Ate two pieces and took the rest home for dinner. We absolutely LOVED our Pizza Studio experience!!!

I found pizza studio while in K.C. with my son for a Sporting KC game recently. Holy cow! Phenomenal pizza. So good! So fresh and SO FAST! Awesome new concept in pizza. I don't know how they can make pizza so fast and make it taste so good but they've discovered the formula.

First visit last night! My perfect type of pizza. Thin crust and perfectly crispy! All for $7.99. Will most likely be my go to for pizza from now on.

Delicious!!! I've been three times and had a completely different pizza each time. Price is reasonable and employees are helpful.

I never really liked thin crust til this place. Great ingredient combination choices. Carry out is convenient as well

I've been to Pizza Studio twice now. Very good fresh toppings. Pizza bakes in two minutes! The reason I took away one star is because the crust doesn't get as crisp in the middle as I'd like it to be. Also the yelling when you walk in is a little awkward. Overall, good pizza. Will return.

Interesting concept - make your own pizza, and for a very reasonable price. It's fast and the kids loved being able to choose what they each wanted. As for the flavor, the crust was crispy and cooked just right while the topping blended the way I wanted them (since I chose them). Definitely worth a stop to give it a try!

  • Sarah G.

The pizza was pretty good. There was one teenage boy that worked extremely hard and was very respectful. Every other worker was lazy and all I saw them do was bring boxes out by the drinks and leave them there to sit at a table and chat and play with their phones. Definitely will go to Pie Five before I go here again.

  • Charlie B.

It's decent. I got the "margherita" pizza and it didn't have any fresh basil on it. I asked and the guy told me it's a dried basil, but I saw other diners had fresh basil on their pizza? It's definitely not somewhere I would go unless I was already at the legends, but I would stop in again if I was there shopping. My annoyances were that the staff was a little unfriendly with no direction on where you were supposed to go or where to order. And also, there's no kids menu, so you're stuck ordering a full size pie or sharing yours for the kids.

  • Tyler H.

I can't put my finger on it, but I really liked this pizza! The crust is very thin, but that's how they are able to cook it so quickly. The price is very reasonable at 5.99 for a margarita pizza and 7.99 for an anything pizza. And the ingredients are super fresh!
